Birmingham City University have 4 competitive BUCS squads and a development team with lots of potential and are currently seeking an assistant netball coach to assist their Head coach to start in September.
Training is Mondays (5-7pm) and Tuesdays (6-8pm) evenings at Doug Ellis Sports Centre, BCU, B42 2SY. £20-£30 an hour will be paid dependent on experience. A minimum of level 1 coaching is required and Level 2 is preferred.

Congratulations to Bishop Vesey U19s and King Edward VI School for Girls U14s who go forward to the National Schools Competition as winners of the West Midlands Schools Competition held at Bromsgrove School last weekend. We should also congratulate our other Birmingham schools who played at the weekend – King Edwards School for Girls U19s, Kings Norton Girls School U16s, Edgbaston High School U16s and Arthur Terry School U14s. Many thanks to all teachers and parents for the support on the day.
Belgrave Netball Club (Tamworth)
- Training is every Monday from 8pm - 9pm, Rawletts Leisure Centre, Comberford Road, Tamworth, B79 9AA
- Training is open to everyone and anyone - on average 20 players training each week
- The club has two teams which play in the local Tamworth league and the larger Birmingham netball league (Div 4 and Div 9)

If your club is interesting in starting a new junior section, there is funding available to help you. The application process for the Junior Club Starter Fund has now moved online and clubs are required to provide BACS details as part of their application. This means if successful clubs will be issued funding sooner.

Hannah Reed, a prominent netballer within the city and a School Games Organiser based at Hall Green has spent 3 weeks in Uganda during the summer working with and supporting the Netball Development Trust - a charity who's aim it is to make a difference through netball. Taking part in sport and developing personal skills is seen to many as a way out of poverty, Here is a link to a video. Well done to Hannah. Enjoy the video!
