If your club is interesting in starting a new junior section, there is funding available to help you. The application process for the Junior Club Starter Fund has now moved online and clubs are required to provide BACS details as part of their application. This means if successful clubs will be issued funding sooner. We have some Birmingham clubs who have applied successfully for funding in 2016 – it could be your club’s turn next. Congratulations to the Winners and Runners Up of the following County Schools Tournaments recently:
U16 Winners: Kings Norton Girls School. Runners Up: Edgbaston High School. U19 Winners: Bishop Vesey Grammar School Runners Up: King Edward's High School for Girls Many thanks to King Edward Girls School for hosting the two events, the organisers, umpires and the teachers for their support. Hannah Reed, a prominent netballer within the city and a School Games Organiser based at Hall Green has spent 3 weeks in Uganda during the summer working with and supporting the Netball Development Trust - a charity who's aim it is to make a difference through netball. Taking part in sport and developing personal skills is seen to many as a way out of poverty, Here is a link to a video. Well done to Hannah. Enjoy the video!
The Birmingham School Games Finals were held in July and many congratulations to the following Birmingham Schools.

Mixed Netball Tournament at North Birmingham Academy in Birmingham.
Date: Saturday 30th July 2016 Address: College Road, Kingstanding, B44 0HF Time: 10.30pm-1.30pm. The tournament is intended for socialising and fun. Max of 2 males per team on court at any one time. (1x centre court and/or 1x semicircle player). Awards will be presented to the winners and runners-up. This tournament is open to all ages 16+ and all abilities. TEAM ENTRY Each team may register a maximum of 12 players, using the TEAM ENTRY FORM, and players must be aged 16 years or above. Each team member MUST also complete a registration form prior to the event. Should you NOT wish to have your photograph taken you must mention this on the team entry form. Failure to mention it, will be taken as consent given. Photographs or video clips will be used for marketing and promotional purposes only. The entry fee is £35 per team and should be paid in cash (receipted) or by cheque, payable to Val Thomas Limited. This fee will include the cost of umpires and court hire.
