Well Netballers, umpires, and clubs what can we say but we got there! We finally got to play netball albeit covid rules but it is still netball.
This is our 1st season at CV and with a newly formed committee, we hit a few obstacles but the committee faced every challenge and ploughed through them, the biggest being losing courts at the UNI for the CWG2022 but we sorted that within hours by utilising KE. We are almost at the half way mark, we have had amazing weather, fun laughter and everyone is happy to see everyone back to doing what we love NETBALL. As a committee we want to say thank you to each and everyone of you for following the covid guidelines at the UNI and supporting us at every turn. for also supporting our 1 min silence in respect of those that have sadly passed we hope that we did you proud and supporting the BLM at every game. Keep up those smiles and happy faces we love seeing them. We will update when the AGM is for 2022 later in August. Regards BSNL. The demand for Summer League spaces has been high this year and thank the BNSL committee for all they have done to try to accommodate as many teams as they can, but, I know it isn’t possible to offer every team a place in the league.
Therefore, with the support of local volunteers, plans are being put in place to offer a mop up league to ensure that all teams who are interested have the opportunity to enter some sort of competition over the summer. This league will run on a Tuesday in line with BNSL dates with venue tbc (likely to be north of the city). This is predominantly for teams who have not got a place in BNSL. Action: please complete this short form and Georgi Rettey the B’ham NDO will be in touch asap. https://forms.gle/oBnrtvyNTt6qNoyc9 With netball returning outdoors at the end of the month, now could be the perfect time to think about your netball journey and any coaching aspirations or goals you have for the future. If you’re interested in becoming a qualified coach, on the afternoon of Wednesday 17 March EN will be launching 16 new Level 1 courses online followed by 14 new Level 2 courses launching online on Tuesday 23 March.
Go to the EN website for details. This Course is now postponed
Due to current government guidelines I’m afraid to inform you that the Into Officiating course on 5th April 2020 is postponed. A new date will be organised in due course when there is more certainty. Candidates that have paid via Bacs can request a refund, via cheque or the funds can roll over to the next course. If you have paid by cheque, these have not been cashed yet, so cheques can be retained for a future course or ripped up. Please could you advise what you wish to do. Once again apologies for the inconvenience, but the safety of delegates and tutors is our top priority.
